* From Abraham to David (14 generations)

* From Solomon to Jeconiah (14 generations)

* From Shealtiel to Jesus Christ (13 generations)

If the generation of David and Jeconiah are not counted TWICE, then it will be a total of 41 generations and not 42 generations (i.e. 14 + 14 + 13 = 41). So how come the bible says 14 generations THRICE?

 The bible is a loaded book with 66 different books containing so many stories, commandments, instructions, doctrines, prophecies, etc. As a Christian, we try to live by obeying the injunctions of the bible.
