Dark Night
Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. (Matthew 27:45) This happened on Good Friday just as Jesus was about to die. There was darkness over all the land. It could be the situation of someone where everything seems so dark and gloomy, with little or no hope of the situation turning around. The truth is that it's just the Friday that comes before the Sunday. Friday may look all dark and gloomy, but there is a Sunday that is coming that shall clear up every darkness and gloominess. Jesus may have died on Friday, but glory hallelujah, he resurrected on Sunday morning. The Bible says that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). This was the case when Joseph was sold to slavery in Egypt and even went to prison for a crime he did not commit. Those were the dark and gloomy times for Joseph.
