Our God Is A Consuming Fire
God is spirit and cannot be seen physically. So it is hard to find an emoticon that symbolizes God. You can use the cross emoticon to symbolize Jesus Christ but you can't use the cross to symbolize God the Father. Of all the emoticons there are, the best emoji one can use to symbolize God the Father is the 🔥 (fire) emoji. Fire is like a spirit. You can't hold it but you can feel it. Fire provides heat and light just as God provides loving warmth and light. The Bible says that God is light. Fire is a light.
The Bible says in Hebrews 12:29
For our God is a consuming fire.
All through the bible, God reveals Himself as a consuming fire. In the book of Exodus, God first shows up as fire in the burning bush that Moses saw. The bush was on fire but it wasn't being burnt. God spoke to Moses out of that burning bush. Again, God shows himself as a fire when He went with the Israelites as a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. Our God is a consuming fire.
Another spectacular time God revealed Himself as fire is when Elijah had a contest with the prophets of Baal. The task was to call down fire upon the sacrifice. The prophets of Baal tried but no fire. But when Elijah prayed, God answered by fire. Also, in the book of Genesis, when Abraham made a sacrifice to God and cut them in half, it was a fire that went through the midst of the sacrifice. Our God is a consuming fire.
God reveals Himself as fire not only in the old testament, but also in the new testament. When the Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost, it was cloven tongues of fire that appeared on the disciples of Jesus Christ. Our God is a consuming fire. He was the fourth man in the burning fiery furnace when the three Hebrew boys were thrown into the fire. They came out without the smell of smoke on them. Our God is a consuming fire.
