The Key To Salvation
Today we hear many preachers preach and make a call for salvation. We hear things like "give your life to Christ", and "accept Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour". This is very popular nowadays but is it scriptural. The Bible doesn't say you need to "give your life to Christ" or you need to "accept Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour". What the bible says is that you need to believe in Jesus Christ. Faith in Jesus Christ is what is needed. The Bible says: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) The key to everlasting life is to believe in Jesus Christ the Son of God. That is to say that salvation is faith in Jesus Christ. To believe that He is the Son of God.
