The Unexpected Way To Your Miracle

Image
Sometimes, we have already fixed expectations about how the miracle we want is to happen. But things don't always happen as expected with God. God works in mysterious ways that don't always match up with what we are expecting. In II Kings 5:11 Naaman had a certain expectation of how he was to be healed: But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. However, the man of God, Elisha, did not even meet Naaman in person. Elisha simply sent his servant to Naaman and told him to wash himself in the river Jordan seven times then he will be healed. This was not what Naaman was expecting. However, when Naaman washed himself seven times in the river Jordan as Elisha had said, he was completely healed. Sometimes, the way to our miracle is unexpected. We may be thinking God is going to do the miracle in a certain way, but God does...

The Set Time

Image
Psalm 102:13 says: Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. There is a set time for every thing under heaven. It is an appointed time where God intervenes on the behalf of man. No matter how long one has been in a predicament, when the set time comes, there is a supernatural release. For example, one may have been trusting God for the fruit of the womb and yet no child. The childlessness may have lasted for years, but when it is the set time, the baby will come. The Israelites had been in bondage for 430 years. That's over four centuries. It seemed they would be in Egyptian bondage forever. But God's set time for their liberation came. It didn't matter how long they had been in bondage. Their set time had finally come. When their set time came, there was a flow of supernatural manifestations of God's power. There were ten plagues that were unleashed upon the Egyptians. The Egyptians didn't want ...

He Knows

Image
In Judges chapter 7 verse 9 to 11, the bible says: 9 And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine hand. 10 But if thou fear to go down, go thou with Phurah thy servant down to the host: 11 And thou shalt hear what they say; and afterward shall thine hands be strengthened to go down unto the host. Then went he down with Phurah his servant unto the outside of the armed men that were in the host. God directed Gideon to go into the enemies camp and attack them immediately. But God knew Gideon would be afraid so He made a way for Gideon to become brave. God said "but if thou fear to go down". God already knew Gideon would be afraid so He said Gideon should go to the enemies camp and that he would hear what they say. This shall embolden him to attack the enemy. It happened exactly that way. Gideon heard a dream and its interpretation. He was emboldened to face the enemy. You may be up aga...

Dark Night

Image
Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. (Matthew 27:45) This happened on Good Friday just as Jesus was about to die. There was darkness over all the land. It could be the situation of someone where everything seems so dark and gloomy, with little or no hope of the situation turning around. The truth is that it's just the Friday that comes before the Sunday. Friday may look all dark and gloomy, but there is a Sunday that is coming that shall clear up every darkness and gloominess. Jesus may have died on Friday, but glory hallelujah, he resurrected on Sunday morning. The Bible says that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). This was the case when Joseph was sold to slavery in Egypt and even went to prison for a crime he did not commit. Those were the dark and gloomy times for Joseph. He may not have understood it but he kept enduring until morning came. Eventually, he became second in command over Egypt an...

Light Of The World

Image
Jesus said "I am the Light of the world" (John 8:12, John 9:5). But He also said "You are the light of the world" (Matthew 5:14). So I can actually say like Jesus Christ "I am the light of the world". Children of God are the lights of the world. But what does it mean to be a light? Well, as the light of the world one is a light like the two great lights made on the fourth day of creation: And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: (Genesis 1:14) As lights they were to be for signs and seasons. So also are we as children of God who are lights of the world: Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. (Isaiah 8:18) We are for signs and wonders. Everything we do is a sign and a wonder. For instance, if the light of the wo...

The First Coming

Image
There had been many prophecies heralding the coming of the Messiah. Many people had been waiting for The One to sit on David's throne. Much had been taught about it and many ears had been filled with the expectation of coming Messiah. Songs would probably have been developed and sung about The coming Messiah. Much like how it is hearing all about the second coming of the Messiah. The teachings, the songs about the second coming is pretty much how it must have been before the first coming. We've been hearing messages and songs about the second coming just like it probably was before the first coming. And when The Messiah finally showed up on the scene, many didn't recognize that The One the prophecies were about had come. His first coming had been in the form of a child born in a lowly manger. He grew up to be a preacher who died for the sins of all mankind. Today His birthday is commemorated on Christmas Day, December 25, while the whole world awaits His second coming. Let...

"My Son, Know The God Of Your Fathers"

LESSON 1: *Exodus 3:13-15 KJV 13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. 15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. QUESTION 1: Who is your God? ANSWER 1: The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is my God. LESSON 2: *Proverbs 30:4 KJV Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son...

The Perpetual Vacation

Everywhere you look, people are all around carrying out some work or the other. Market traders, business men, bankers, teachers, government employees, nurses, doctor's, bus drivers, and so on are all engaged in their various works. This happens six days a week and only one day of rest. God Himself worked for six days and rested on the seventh day (Hebrews 4:4). The blessedness of rest however still has a component that is not about the Sabbath day of rest but about another spiritual rest that is for those who have faith. Hebrews 4:1-3 says: 1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it . 3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from th...

Second Appearance

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:28) This verse may be a key to the second coming of Jesus Christ meaning His first coming was as a Sacrificial Lamb, but His second coming is for the salvation of "them that look for him". This is an admonition for us to be looking for Jesus Christ so that He may "appear the second time." #Rapture

An Interesting Experiment

An experiment about Conformity was carried out in the reception of an organization. At the sound of a buzzer, everyone stood up for no reason at all in a bid to see if the test subject would also stand up. Eventually, the test subject started standing up for no reason at the sound of the buzzer simply because everyone else was doing so. Even when the group of people initially standing up for no reason had gone, the test subject kept standing up for no reason at the sound of the buzzer. This continued until a fresh group of people came into the reception and also kept standing up at the sound of the buzzer for no other reason than that they saw everyone else doing so. Such is the situation sometimes in life, where we do some things simply because everybody else is doing so. However, the Bible says in Romans 12:2: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. We aren...
