 The bible is a loaded book with 66 different books containing so many stories, commandments, instructions, doctrines, prophecies, etc. As a Christian, we try to live by obeying the injunctions of the bible. But the bible is so comprehensive that sometimes it seems to contradict itself. At one point it is telling you "thou shall not kill", but somewhere else, we read where God is instructing His people to completely wipe out another nation by killing them. And then in another place, the same Bible tells you "love your enemies as you love yourself". All these can sometimes seem confusing. But there is a way out of the confusion. The answer can be seen in Jesus' words in Matthew 23:23 " Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone." The Bible says in I Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. Many are discontent with what they have. Some want more money, a bigger house, a bigger car, a newer phone, etc. But we must all learn to be content with what we have. There is nothing bad in wanting something better but if it is at a premature time then it could mean greediness. You must be content per time. This means you say to yourself, "at this present time, I am content with what I have", "at this present time, I don't need this...". Godliness with contentment is great gain. Today we hear many preachers preach and make a call for salvation. We hear things like "give your life to Christ", and "accept Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour". This is very popular nowadays but is it scriptural. The Bible doesn't say you need to "give your life to Christ" or you need to "accept Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour". What the bible says is that you need to believe in Jesus Christ. Faith in Jesus Christ is what is needed. The Bible says: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) The key to everlasting life is to believe in Jesus Christ the Son of God. That is to say that salvation is faith in Jesus Christ. To believe that He is the Son of God. God is spirit and cannot be seen physically. So it is hard to find an emoticon that symbolizes God. You can use the cross emoticon to symbolize Jesus Christ but you can't use the cross to symbolize God the Father. Of all the emoticons there are, the best emoji one can use to symbolize God the Father is the 🔥 (fire) emoji. Fire is like a spirit. You can't hold it but you can feel it. Fire provides heat and light just as God provides loving warmth and light. The Bible says that God is light. Fire is a light. The Bible says in Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire. All through the bible, God reveals Himself as a consuming fire. In the book of Exodus, God first shows up as fire in the burning bush that Moses saw. The bush was on fire but it wasn't being burnt. Sometimes, we have already fixed expectations about how the miracle we want is to happen. But things don't always happen as expected with God. God works in mysterious ways that don't always match up with what we are expecting. In II Kings 5:11 Naaman had a certain expectation of how he was to be healed: But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. However, the man of God, Elisha, did not even meet Naaman in person. Elisha simply sent his servant to Naaman and told him to wash himself in the river Jordan seven times then he will be healed. This was not what Naaman was expecting. However, when Naaman washed himself seven times in the river Jordan as Elisha had said, he was completely healed. Sometimes, the way to our miracle is unexpected. We may be thinking God is going to do the miracle in a certain way, but God does...

Psalm 102:13 says: Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. There is a set time for every thing under heaven. It is an appointed time where God intervenes on the behalf of man. No matter how long one has been in a predicament, when the set time comes, there is a supernatural release. For example, one may have been trusting God for the fruit of the womb and yet no child. The childlessness may have lasted for years, but when it is the set time, the baby will come. Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. (Matthew 27:45) This happened on Good Friday just as Jesus was about to die. There was darkness over all the land. It could be the situation of someone where everything seems so dark and gloomy, with little or no hope of the situation turning around. The truth is that it's just the Friday that comes before the Sunday. Friday may look all dark and gloomy, but there is a Sunday that is coming that shall clear up every darkness and gloominess. Jesus may have died on Friday, but glory hallelujah, he resurrected on Sunday morning. The Bible says that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Jesus said "I am the Light of the world" (John 8:12, John 9:5). But He also said "You are the light of the world" (Matthew 5:14). There had been many prophecies heralding the coming of the Messiah. Many people had been waiting for The One to sit on David's throne. Much had been taught about it and many ears had been filled with the expectation of coming Messiah. Songs would probably have been developed and sung about The coming Messiah. Everywhere you look, people are all around carrying out some work or the other. Market traders, business men, bankers, teachers, government employees, nurses, doctor's, bus drivers, and so on are all engaged in their various works. This happens six days a week and only one day of rest. God Himself worked for six days and rested on the seventh day (Hebrews 4:4). The blessedness of rest however still has a component that is not about the Sabbath day of rest but about another spiritual rest that is for those who have faith. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (Hebrews 9:28) This verse may be a key to the second coming of Jesus Christ meaning His first coming was as a Sacrificial Lamb, but His second coming is for the salvation of "them that look for him". An experiment about Conformity was carried out in the reception of an organization. At the sound of a buzzer, everyone stood up for no reason at all in a bid to see if the test subject would also stand up. Eventually, the test subject started standing up for no reason at the sound of the buzzer simply because everyone else was doing so. Even when the group of people initially standing up for no reason had gone, the test subject kept standing up for no reason at the sound of the buzzer. This continued until a fresh group of people came into the reception and also kept standing up at the sound of the buzzer for no other reason than that they saw everyone else doing so. When Jesus said in John 8:32 "And  ye shall know the truth , and the truth shall make you free .", he was referring to the bondage of sin. However, knowing the truth can also set one free from literal forms of slavery such as that which can be found in jobs. One might actually be so knowledgeable of the truth, that it translates in freedom from slavery in a job. Where one is set free from the slavery in Egypt, to the glorious liberty in the promised land. So Jack previously working for Company A becomes knowledgeable of the truth and resigns his 9 to 5 job. Did you know that what most bibles translate as "the LORD" in the old testament is actually The Name of God which Bible translations such as the World English Bible (WEB) translate directly as "Yahweh" and not "the LORD" in the old testament of the bible. The translation as "the LORD" in most bibles reveals itself as inaccurate when in Isaiah chapter 42 verse 8 God communicates it plainly as His name: Isaiah 42:8 (King  James Version): I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. The ten commandments that God gave to His people is still in force. It's like "The Code" referred to in the Netflix series Jupiter's Legacy. Some may not want to go by it anymore.
